NAILBED PENDANT
|
This undulating surface of flat-topped nail forms glitters as the pendant—delicately suspended—reflects light from its numerous surfaces. Each nail is a tiny piece of silver sheet: sawed, edged, and finished. Then, each is soldered to varying thicknesses of tiny lengths of silver wire. Each nail is slipped into a corresponding hole in the surface of the pendant. Once all are arranged in a pleasing fashion, the entire form is again torch soldered for structural integrity. Dainty and lovely, this jewelry piece is quietly unusual. |
