ELIZABETHAN NECK SHACKLE

[N11] This dynamic form hinges tightly around the tender skin of the neck, and restricts full movement.  A loving friend must fasten the sterling hinges closed for the wearer. Formally, the large geometric triangular forms in front taper to the rear, adjusting weight appropriately around the figure.  Red leather lines the vertically woven strips of bright blue bronze, to "cushion" the neck from further discomfort.  As implied by its title, this piece is not meant for common comfort.  It is bold, visually striking, and demanding of its wearer and audience.  Patinated Bronze, sterling silver, leather.
